Welcome

Welcome to the Martin Photography web site!  This site was designed to give you an idea of how my studio works and to show you some of the images I have created.   Martin Photography is located in Fredericksburg, IA.  I, Joel Martin, opened the studio part-time about two years ago and am working on building a reputation. I hope to be a full time studio very soon.  

I attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo and recieved my Applied Arts Degree in Professional Photography. I am currently a member of The Professional Photographers of Iowa, where I continue my education every year and learn about the latest trends in creative portraiture. 

I am currently operating by myself, with a little help from my fiance Darcy, who asissts me with the business end of the studio and sometimes accompanies me on shoots.  I do all the marketing, schedueling, shooting, proofing, digital art work, ordering, and production, so if I am shooting or with a customer and you can't reach me, just leave your name and phone number (and address if you want to request a price list), and I will get back to you as soon as I can.  This arrangement is temporary, as I hope to have a receptionist someday soon, but thank you for working with me and being patient as I'm getting established.  If you need to come to the studio for any reason, please make an appointment to assure that I will be in.  I may be out on a photo shoot, or doing a number of other things. 

Studio hours are: Monday, closed. Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday. 9AM-5PM. Thursday 9AM-7PM. Saturday 9AM-12PM if I have no weddings scheduled. ALL BY APPOINTMENT ONLY PLEASE.
