About Martin Photography
Welcome to the Martin Photography web site! This site was designed to give you an idea of how my studio works and to show you some of the images I have created. Martin Photography is located in Fredericksburg, IA. I, Joel Martin, opened the studio part-time about 15 years ago. I have no plans of ever opening the studio full time at this time. My plans are to keep shooting as a hobby and hopefully keep it fun for me and my clients for years to come!
I attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo and recieved my Applied Arts Degree in Professional Photography. I am currently a member of The Professional Photographers of Iowa, where I continue my education every year and learn about the latest trends in creative portraiture.
My wife, Jess does all of our marketing and social media posts & assists with some scheduling & keeps things organized. I do some scheduling, take pics, post production, digital art work, ordering, and final delivery, so if I am shooting or with a customer and you can't reach me, just leave your name and phone number (and address if you want to request a price list), and I will get back to you as soon as I can. E-mail or texting may be the quickest way to reach me if I don’t answer the phone. I used to have a studio, but I primarily shoot outdoors and on location now. I can set up portable lights and backgrounds on location as well if you want studio portraits.
Appointments can be made on: Tuesdays & Thursdays in the afternoon. Saturdays if I have no weddings scheduled. ALL BY APPOINTMENT ONLY PLEASE.
